A Necessary Change

2010 is bringing many changes into all our lives and the New Year is a good time to start with changes that need to be made. Focus is my word for this New Year in my life.

When I began my first blog a year ago, I was unsure of the direction it would take, I just jumped in. Soon my family began to fill so much of my blog, and with my compulsion for organization, I started Beyond Still Waters as a separate place to post scriptures and spiritual lessons and devotions. It seemed a great idea at the time.

It has become increasingly apparent that two blogs were too much for me. Family, work and daily life takes a lot of time and many things take longer than they used to as "maturity" sets in. It is easy at times to forego quality because of that time crunch - even if the time limits are self-imposed.

My family is a tremendous part of my life, but that is also true of my relationship with my father and to separate the two wasn't really necessary. God is a part of my daily life, my work and my family and therefore, I feel this needed change will be a smooth transition.

This will be my last post on Beyond Still Waters, but I pray that those of you who have not visited the Ivy Path will do so. There will be some changes taking place there over the next month to organize some things and improve on my blog.

Thank you all for the wonderful comments of encouragement that have been posted on this blog and I pray that 2010 will be a blessed and prosperous New Year for each of you. Each of you have been a true blessing to me as I reached out in this wonderful endeavor called blogging.

Hope to see you at The Ivy Path soon!
